Crews work to complete renovations at the University Park student housing complex on Interstate 45 near the UH campus. The housing project, a renovation of an old motel, will not be complete until April because of problems with city occupancy and restaurant permits.

 
New housing complex won't open until April

Problems with occupancy and restaurant permits from the city of Houston have pushed the opening of the new University Park housing complex back to April.

Icelandic musician Björk has received a Golden Globe nomination for her outstanding work in the film Dancer in the Dark, which is being re-released in theaters.

The Lady Cougars held on for a win in its first home game in nearly a month, defeating the Middle Tennessee State Lady Raiders 77-72 on Saturday.

Television can, however, come up with a bowl game for every team that wins one more game than it loses during the course of a season.
