Cougars who want to save a tree and postage this holiday season may want to check out the University's electronic holiday cards, available free online.
The e-cards feature 10 of the top designs students submitted for the University's official holiday card, including graphic communication junior Virginia Ariza's winning "Dressed for Winter," which depicts the "Collegium'"statue decked out in winter garb.
Several of the other designs feature UH-related themes, including Shasta and a depiction of the fountain at Cullen Family Plaza surrounded by festively decorated trees.
Twenty-eight designs were submitted to the contest, sponsored by UH President Jay Gogue and his wife, Susie. Ariza won a $1,000 scholarship for her design.
