Some songs not fit for Christmas carolers
So we're getting pretty close to Christmas, and I'm sure you have all been swarmed with the usual holiday song list of oldies (some are also goodies), modern classics ("Christmas in Hollis" by Run-DMC comes to mind), current bands revamping old standards (none of which are really outstanding) and of course the yuk-yuk cheesy humor tracks like the hillbilly favorite "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer" (please listen to Manic Hispanic's "Santa Got Run Over by My Chevy" instead).

Anderson creates an 'Aquatic' classic
Love, loss and adventure meet on the open sea with a Wes Anderson twist in The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, Anderson's latest piece that tells the story of Zissou (Bill Murray), an underwater documentary filmmaker.

Curb the hate for the holiday
My lease is up Jan. 15, and I recently quit my steady job as a waiter. Mix that in with the fact that I'm saving up to go to school out of the country for a year, and this holiday season should be full of question marks and desperate attempts at stabilizing my turbulent life. But it's not.

Staff Editorial: Student fee hitting its head on $150 ceiling
If the Student Service Fee is not increased next fiscal year, there may be less money to go around to student groups like the Student Government Association, the Student Program Board, this newspaper and dozens of other valuable organizations.
