![]() Volume 8, Issue 2 University of Houston Campus Crime Report The following is a partial report of campus crime between Dec. 22 and Monday. All information is selected from the files of the UH Police Department. The information in italics indicates when the event was reported to UHPD and the event's location. Telephone harassment: 8:24 a.m., Dec. 22, Ezekiel Cullen Building -- A staff member reported that a student she was assisting with a grade problem used profane language in two telephone conversations. A blind Student Life Referral was issued. Occurred between Dec. 21 and 22. Forgery: 1:05 p.m., Dec. 26, Bayou Oaks -- A student reported that a known suspect forged a check from his checkbook and cashed the check. Investigation ongoing. Occurred at 11:31 a.m. Nov. 14. Theft: 12:52 p.m., Dec. 27, McElhinney Hall -- A faculty member reported his black pouch containing cash and his Cougar1 Card was stolen from his desk drawer. No suspects. Occurred between Dec. 22 and Dec. 27. Criminal trespass: 2:26 p.m., Thursday, Fleming Building -- A faculty member reported seeing a suspicious male looking into offices in the Fleming Building. The faculty member recognized the man as being handled by the police in the past. The male was arrested and transported to Harris County Jail. Criminal mischief: 3:56 p.m., Sunday, Bayou Oaks -- Three students and a visitor reported damage to their cars possibly caused by someone jumping on the hoods of their cars. Occurred between 2:30 a.m. and 3 a.m. Sunday. Theft: 2:20 p.m., Monday, M.D. Anderson Memorial Library -- A student reported his bicycle stolen. Occurred between 2 p.m. 2:19 p.m. Monday. Burglary of a motor vehicle: 5:07 p.m., Monday, Lot 5A -- A student reported her unattended and secured vehicle was burglarized. Several credit cards and cash were stolen. No suspects. Occurred between 11:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday. Burglary of a motor vehicle: 6:41 p.m., Monday,
Lot 19A -- A faculty member reported his unattended and secured vehicle
was burglarized. A first aid kit was stolen and the ignition was damaged.
Occurred between noon to 6:15 p.m. Monday.
