![]() Volume 8, Issue 1 University of Houston Two Lady Cougars post season highs
in loss Breaking News Staff The Lady Cougars dropped their third straight game
after Dartmouth rode a 14-8 run in the final minutes of Monday night's
game, defeating UH 76-69 at Hofheinz Pavilion. This loss leaves UH with a 2-7 overall record for the season. The Lady Cougars narrowed the score to within one point with 4:29 left in the game, with the score at 59-60.
Lady Cougar Kadi Creel scored a season high 14 points in UH's 76-69 loss to the Big Green of Dartmouth. Gregory Bohuslav/Breaking News Kadi Creel finished the game with a season high 14
points, including a 16-foot jump shot that tied the game at 43 with 12:30
left in the game. But following this effort by Creel, Dartmouth went on
an 8-3 run to extend their lead. Dartmouth continued to pull away every
time Houston narrowed the gap, and ran away with the lead. Houston played the game without two of its regular starters. Junior Emily Fryters and freshman Jasmin Moore sat out because of injuries. Tye Jackson recorded a double double for the Big Green
with 20 points and 11 rebounds. It was a career night for Jackson, as she
also recorded a career-high seven steals.
