The real thing: System negotiates $13M contract with Coke

The UH System has approved a 10-year, $13 million contract with Coca-Cola, meaning the company will replace Pepsi as the provider of cold beverages on the UH campus.
 

Preliminary rec center plans unveiled

Architects and consultants working to design UH's new student recreation center met with campus representatives Thursday to discuss amenities and preliminary plans for the $48 million facility.

I know we've all been subjected to the pre-Y2K hype, coverage of the 24-hour Y2K celebration, post-Y2K musings and enough "definitive Top 10 of the millennium" lists to last another millennium. But the real "millennium madness" isn't about all that. It's about self-evaluation.

M. Basketball beats Tulane, evens record in C-USA

How important is winning conference games to the UH men's basketball team? It was obvious in the eyes of the Cougars before Saturday night's game at Hofheinz Pavilion. UH had that look in its eyes -- the look of a team poised to make the Tulane Green Wave its first victim of the young Conference USA schedule.
 

W. Basketball captures third straight with UNCC win

Although it began the new year with a loss, the UH women's basketball team has taken advantage of the new millennium by winning the last three games against Texas-El Paso, Saint Louis and UNC-Charlotte.
