Singing lessons -- The Houston Tidelanders are offering free group singing lessons starting Monday. Successful participants in this free choral program will qualify to join the Tidelanders in the International Chorus Competition held in July in Salt Lake City, Utah. Call 466-7795 for details.

Fashion show benefit -- A fashion show dubbed "Fashion Magic," benefitting the Center for Hearing and Speech and the Nancy Jones Holliman Scholarship Fund, will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27. Tickets are $40, which includes lunch. Door prize tickets are available for$3. The event is sponsored by Houston area Delta Zeta Alumnae. Call 240-1309 for reservations and ticket information.
