To the editor:

The Feb. 1 Daily Cougar sent a shiver down my spine to think "graduating" seniors such as Russell Contreras and Chris Pea are about to go into the real world.

I suggest they actually research topics before letting everyone know their opinion, so at least they make themselves sound intelligent.

Pea, in particular, responded to my previous comments by saying I was a "whiner," my comments were inaccurate and that the students who complain because they can't use the athletic facility should appreciate what they have.

Furthermore, he says John Moores' donation was for the athletic facility and a music building. Even I, as freshman, am aware that if the Board of Regents had actually asked for something USEFUL, such as much-needed parking lots, I'm sure Mr. Moores would have been more than happy to oblige. I still say the athletic facility's excessive cost is a money pit.

I really hope both columnists aren't as naive as they sound, unless, of course, they want to run for government office!
