Together, we can help: The Escape Family Resource Center is looking for volunteers in Harris and Fort Bend counties to help the organization serve families in crisis to prevent child abuse. Volunteers should be able to spend three to five hours each week working with families in children. To volunteer, or for more information, call Ken Crowley at (713) 942-9500.

Put that in writing: The Office of Ombudservices reminds those undergraduates planning to receive a baccalaureate degree from UH that they are required to demonstrate writing proficiency prior to graduation. The summer Writing Proficiency Examinations are scheduled for Friday, July 17, at 2 and 6 p.m. Registration for either time will be held June 15 through 26 on the second floor of the Student Service Center.
