International Day festival a rousing success

The University of Houston's College of Pharmacy held its 1997 International Day Celebration, featuring an ethnically diverse selection of food.

At right, first-year pharmacy students Michael Falcon (in the dragon's head) and Binh Nguyen (holding the tail) cavort outside the Science and Research Building, where food selections as varied as Mexican, African, Persian, Cajun, Chinese and Vietnamese were made available.

First-year pharmacy student Charlie Crawford estimated that this year's International Day festival was the most successful one in years. Proceeds from the annual event benefit the UH College of Pharmacy.
