An ambassadorship: The University of Houston Ambassadors, a student recruiting arm of the Office of Admissions, is accepting applications for membership from currently enrolled students. Scholarships: The Department of Military Science is offering two- and three-year scholarships worth up to $12,800 per year. Call the department at (713) 743-3875 to find out about eligibility requirements and where to pick up an application. The deadline for application is Jan. 31.

Leadership: Limited positions are available for the Army ROTC's Camp Challenge, a six-week course designed to teach basic military and leadership skills. There is no military obligation involved in attending the course. For information, call the Department of Military Science at (713) 743-3875.
