Anime No Kai: Anime No Kai, a Japanese animation club, will show a variety of Japanese animation titles at the Satellite from 2 to 5 p.m. This event is free and open to everyone.

Zeta Week: Zeta Phi Beta will hold a blood drive from 9 a.m. to noon in front of the UC. A caravan will be leaving in front of the UC at 7 p.m. to head to Dave and Buster's for Night Out With Zeta.

Lecture: The Department of Philosophy presents "Science as Representation" from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. in Room 2, Agnes Arnold Hall. Bas VanFraassen from Princeton University will be the guest lecturer.

Coffee house: The Baptist Student Ministry and Friday Nite Live will hold a gathering at 7 p.m. in the Baptist Student Center. Students can kick back, drink coffee and relax in a cool atmosphere. The event is open to everyone.


Bleacher creatures: Do you want to see the Cougars win? Want to have fun as UH plays Memphis on Saturday? Come to the Young Alumni Tent Tailgate party (Scott Street side of Robertson Stadium) at 4:15 p.m. There will be free T-shirt giveaways and face painting.


National Association of Black Journalists: Are you interested in networking with black professionals in the media? The National Association of Black Journalists will hold a meeting at noon in Room 151, Communication Building.

Ethics luncheon: The Baptist Student Ministry will serve $2 sandwiches at noon at the Baptist Student Center across from Entrance 1. Dr. Allen Reasons will be lecturing on ethics and how they apply today.

Need support?: The Women's Resource Center will a meeting for nontraditional students from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. in Room 208, A.D. Bruce Religion Center. The group is for nontraditional female students who have been out of school for 10-plus years and are experiencing difficulties. For more information, call (713) 743-2730.

Monday meal: The Lutheran, Episcopal and United Campus Ministries invite students, faculty and staff to a weekly luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the A.D. Bruce Religion Center's second-floor lounge.

Be a part of the blood donor craze!: The UH Graduate School of Social Work Student Association will hold a blood drive from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the mobile coach near the Social Work Building. To schedule an appointment, call Peter Nguyen at (713) 523-1180.
