Children of Abraham: The Irish Unity Committee presents The Children of Abraham, an exhibition of Alan Pogue's recent photos of the people of Iraq and Palestine, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the UC Bayou City Room. All are invited. Pogue, the photo editor of the Texas Observer, will be present at noon to discuss the photos and his experience in the Middle East.

Quiero pastel?: The Bilingual Education Student Organization will hold a cake and pastry sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the PGH Breezeway. American and Mexican pastries will be available.

Jum'aa prayer: The Muslim Studentsi Association will hold a Friday congregational prayer at 1:30 p.m. in rooms 201 and 204, A.D. Bruce Religion Center.

Anime No Kai: Anime No Kai, a Japanese animation club, will show a variety of Japanese animation titles from 2 to 5 p.m. at the UC Satellite. Everyone is invited.

Study circle: The Muslim Studentsi Association will hold an Islamic study circle at 6:30 p.m. in the UC Underground. The circle is open to Muslims and non-Muslims.

Coffee house: The Baptist Student Ministry will offer free coffee, beverages and treats for students at 7 p.m. at the Baptist Student Center.


What is art?: Artists of all kinds -- theater, dance, music video, performance art and visual arts -- are invited to develop projects at Temp10, 5217 Feagan, from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday. Food and drinks will be provided. For more information, call (713) 802-1828.
