The Houston Cougars (3-2) faced the Louisiana State Tigers (3-1) last night at Hofheinz Pavilion as UH won its second consecutive game, 67-55. It was the first time in a year that the Cougars have won back-to-back games.
On Campus Today . . .
Amid the hustle and bustle of student life, a man sits patiently behind a small table decorated with leaflets, a bowl of candy and a sign that reads "The Listening Post."
Who is this man? What is The Listening Post?
The man is Hugh Sanborn, Campus Ministries director and a licensed professional counselor. The Listening Post is where Sanborn meets with students, faculty and staff to discuss any subject that is on their minds.
In Opinion Today . . .
Well, it's that time of the year again. Christmas shoppers mob the malls, professors begin reviewing for final exams and Daily Cougar columnists find that the proverbial well has run dry, leaving us with nothing better to write about than e-mails we've received or meaningless awards we're giving out.

In Sports Today . . .
A few weeks back, Sports Illustrated came out with a fantasy bracket, pitting the 16 best collegiate basketball programs of all time against each other. At the top of the list were the usual suspects: UCLA, Duke, North Carolina and the like. But also making the list, at No. 12 and 13 respectively, were Houston and Louisiana State, the two teams that met up Monday night in Hofheinz.
