Campus Spotlight

Anime No Kai: Anime No Kai, a Japanese animation club, will hold a bake sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the PGH Breezeway.

Speak German: The German Club will meet at noon in Room 444, Agnes Arnold Hall. Students are encouraged to bring their lunches.

Weekly lunch: The Baptist Student Ministry will meet from noon to 1 p.m. in the Baptist Student Center. Everyone is welcome.

PRSSA: The Public Relations Student Society will meet at 4:30 p.m. in Room 651, Agnes Arnold Hall. Speakers representing Edelman Public Relations, Fulbright & Jaworski and Southwestern Bell will be present. All majors are welcome.

Improve your writing: Learning Support Services is offering a workshop "APA Writing Style Workshop" from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in Room 321, Social Work Building.

Community spirit: Sigma Lambda Beta Fraternity will meet at 7:30 p.m. in Room 266, UC. Students interested in helping out the Latino Community are encouraged to attend. For more information, call Arturo at (713) 928-3293.

Giving from the heart: The Association of Culturally Diverse Students is sponsoring a day-long Valentine fund-raiser at the UC. Three winners will be chosen. The first place winner will receive an overnight stay at the Hilton Plaza. The second place winner will receive a basket filled with candy. The third place winner will receive a dozen roses.

In a rush?: Zeta Psi Omega, a local social sorority, will continue its Spring '99 rush this week. Anyone interested in making lifelong friends and having fun should call Amanda at (713) 339-3466.

Need tuition in the fall?: The Bay Area Club of the Houston Alumni Organization is offering two $1,000 scholarships to students from the greater Clear Lake/Galveston areas who will attend UH during the Fall 1999 semester.
