Campus groups will seek funding when SFAC hearings open today

Campus organizations will begin vying for portions of student fee money today as the Student Fee Allocation Committee opens hearings in the University Center.

The 10-member committee, which is made up of representatives from the student body, the faculty and the administration, meets annually to consider requests from fee-funded groups at the University.

This year, hearings are scheduled all day today, Friday, Monday and Wednesday. Feb. 26, the committee will begin deliberations on fee distribution. Members hope to present their final budget proposals to Vice President for Student Affairs Elwyn Lee on March 3.

This year's schedule of hearings is as follows. All hearings are open to the public.
