Campus parking and safety were the principal concerns among the candidates for the Students' Association presidency and vice presidency in a Wednesday afternoon SA election debate.

But missed opportunities and lowly free-throw shooting from his supporting cast proved fatal as Memphis (11-15, 4-9 in Conference USA) beat the Cougars 84-81 at Hofheinz Pavilion in front of a scattered crowd of only 3,419.
