Census 2000 rolling along

Cougar News Staff

The Census 2000 Road Tour Vehicle, a "rolling resource of information and promotional items promoting the current census," will visit UH from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. today in front of the University Center.

The vehicle will be on campus as part of the Census Bureau's "2000 Road Tour," a promotional campaign designed to raise awareness of, and participation in, the census.

The Census RTV is a 28-foot mobile-home style vehicle containing exhibits and videos on the history and details of the census as well as printed materials relating to the census.

Its UH stop is one of the last on a week-long tour of the Houston area. For more information on the census, call the city of Houston's Census 2000 office at (713) COUNT-US.
