Bringin' the heat
UH left-handed pitcher Nick Torina delivers a pitch against C-USA rivals Tulane over the weekend. The Texas Senate launched a billboard campaign last week to increase
awareness of a grant program that provides money to beginning college students
who have financial need and keep their grades up.
When it came time for my twin brother and me to enter a school system,
my parents, wanting the best for us, enrolled us in Catholic school. After
the second grade, my parents could no longer afford to give us a private
education and we were enrolled in public school.
"And the Oscar goes to (drum roll please) … American Beauty."
The bad news is that losing two of three games to Tulane over the weekend dropped the UH baseball team (20-9) four spots from No. 5 to No. 9 in the national polls this week. |
