With the Sega Dreamcast being the first Internet-ready game console, you need to know how it works before you get the hook up, right? Well here's the skinny, the dope, the 411 or whatever you like to call it these days.

The Sega Dreamcast has a built-in modem with a data transfer rate of 56K bits per second, which is (here's the cool part) upgradable. The modem allows you, the gamer, to play games online with other Dreamcast freaks in immense multiplayer arenas or one on one.
