ESPD: The Environmental and Physical Safety Department offers free training on safety-related topics, including CPR, First Aid, Defensive Driving (not for ticket dismissal), as well as many other safety-related topics. For more information, visit the EPSD Web site at or call (713) 743-5861.

Fitness Program: The Department of Campus Recreation Fitness Program has added two additional classes Mondays and Wednesdays from 12:15 p.m. to 1 p.m. These classes are free for students. Come by Room 102 Garrison to register. For more information, call (713) 743-9500.

Homecoming Committee -- Student Program Board: Applications are available for the 2000 Homecoming Committee. Coordinator and Assistant Coordinator positions are available. Study abroad: The UH Department of Modern and Classical Languages is now accepting applications for its seven-week Bourges Study Abroad Program, which will be from May 19 through July 7. Deadline to apply is May 1. For more information, call (713) 743-3033.

WalkAmerica: The annual march of Dimes WalkAmerica is coming to UH. Volunteers are needed to help set up on Saturday, April 29 and during the walk Sunday, April 30.
