New students at a large university can be overwhelmed by the changes confronting them as they begin college. It may be difficult for them to get involved in the campus lifestyle without a little help from their friends.

For some women beginning school at UH, the answer to that problem may lie in joining a sorority.

"You are overweight." Those were the words that appeared on www.healthstatus.com as the primary health problem that could cause my body to expire prematurely. They were not kind words to my ears. The words cut through my heart, soul and self-esteem like a blade.
