Members of the UH School of Theater are engaged in a dress rehearsal Sunday in the Lyndall Finley Wortham Theatre.

In News Today . . .

Congress is considering a joint resolution that would declare American GIs "Person of the Century" -- an honor many feel is well-deserved, particularly at UH, a campus with a long history of service to veterans.

In Opinion Today . . .

Finals are creeping up on me like a pack of mouth-frothing sewer rats ready to consume my knowledge-soaked flesh. I am in a bind; so much so, in fact, that I lack the ability to focus on a single subject. So like our tree-swinging and parasite-eating cousins, I will write whatever pops into my sick little mind ... like, whoa!

In Entertainment Today . . .

Rapper Christopher Rios, aka Big Pun, died in March of heart failure at 28, which could be considered prime age for a hip-hop artist.

In Sports Today . . .

The UH baseball team got two shutouts and a 15-4 romp in between as the Cougars remained in a first-place tie for the Conference USA lead by sweeping Saint Louis over the weekend.
