Chamber music: The Texas Music Festival continues with a Chamber Music-Distinguished Artist Series concert at 7:30 p.m. in the Moores Opera House. Thomas LeGrand, Lucie Robert, Sophia Silivos, Rita Porfiris, Laszlo Varga, Dennis Whittaker, Jeffrey Cohen and Timothy Hester will perform a program including pieces from Paul Hindermith, Aaron Copland and Antonin Dvorak. Tickets are $5 for students and senior citizens and $10 for the general public. For more information, call (713) 743-3313.

Anxiety-free workshop: Learning Support Services will offer a free workshop on how to decrease text anxiety from 2-3 p.m. in Room 321, Social Work building. For more information, call Jan Redford at (713) 743-5411.

Fun and competition: The UH Department of Campus recreation is accepting entries for an indoor soccer tournament July 15-16. There is a $20 entry fee deposit. The deadline for entering the soccer tournament is June 28. All students, faculty and staff are welcome to participate. Register in Room 102, Garrison Gym. Shape up: The UH Department of Campus Recreation's fitness programs continue through the summer. Programs include water, Step Plus and abdominal fitness and they are offered Monday through Thursday. The programs are free to currently enrolled summer students. Faculty and staff may enroll for $50. Participants must register in Room 102, Garrison Gym before attending a class. Swing, salsa, cha-cha: The Social Dance Club at UH has started this summer with weekly Sunday meetings at 5 p.m. in the Cougar Den. Ballroom and social dances will be taught throughout the summer sessions. No partner or experience necessary. E-mail uh_dance@yahoo.com for more information.
