Campus crime update

The following is a report of campus crime from June 30 through July 7. All information is taken from the public files of the University of Houston Police Department. The time in italics represents the time the event was reported to UHPD.

Theft: 10:28 a.m. June 30, University Bookstore -- Visitor was arrested for shoplifting in the University Bookstore and transported to Harris County Jail.

Burglary: 8:18 p.m. July 1, Lot 16E -- Complainant reported unknown person(s) damaged and entered his unattended, secured vehicle between 11 a.m. June 30 and 10:30 a.m. July 1.

Counterfeiting: 3:45 p.m. July 3, University Health Center -- Complainant reported unknown person passed a counterfeit $5 bill at 3 p.m. July 3.

Criminal mischief: 4:20 p.m. July 3, Lot 1A -- Complainant reported unknown person(s) damaged his vehicle with a toy smoke device between 7:45 a.m. and 4:20 p.m. July 3.

Theft: 9:30 a.m. July 5, Agnes Arnold Hall fourth floor -- Complainant reported unknown person(s) stole a UH slide scanner from her office between 11 a.m. June 15 and 11:01 a.m. June 30.

Theft: 1:25 p.m. July 5, Engineering Building -- Complainants reported unknown person(s) stole coins from their office between 10 p.m. July 2 and 7 p.m. July 3.
