Grants to boost local math, science programs
University Studies freshman Tiffany Smith of the Quadrangle's Ruff Ryders led the team Tuesday night with two touchdowns in the third annual Beauty Bowl against the Moody Towers' Hot Girls.
Houston's higher education leaders announced on Tuesday a partnership
with the Houston Independent School District that they hope will double
the number of underserved students earning math and science bachelor's
degrees at Houston-area schools in the next five years.
For most classes, the first exam grades are posted and students can
then decide if it is in their best interest to take advantage of withdrawal.
Unless withdrawal from all your classes is the only option, it is safe
to say that the semester is running smoothly. The rush to achieve an optimal
fall schedule has calmed. Now, take a look at the big picture.
You hear the words "contemporary music." You think of Creed, Destiny's Child, maybe even Bif Naked.
A music major hears the words "contemporary music." He thinks of Steve
Reich or Philip Glass. So who really makes contemporary music?
