of land-grant funds for The University of Texas and Texas A&M University
systems, making more money available to the two systems with no increase
in taxes.
You may think the quality of newspapers, television and radio coverage
are distant and inconsequential to your life. In truth, the media represents
the values of our culture -- your values. Newspapers are, historically,
a revolutionary medium.
The Backstreet Boys, 'N Sync and Five all have five members, so this
must be the magic number for guys to make it in the teeny-bopper category.
Newcomer Michael Fredo flies solo, however, so my guess is that nobody
will pay attention to the guy from the recent Tommy Hilfiger ads.
Thanks to a little help from its neighbors to the north, the UH volleyball team has regained sole possession of first place in the Conference USA standings. |
