Poems, biographies, photographs, flowers and scrapbooks were among the momentos left near The Vietnam Veterans Moving Wall on Thursday, which was Veterans Day. The Wall bears the names of the 58,000-plus Americans who were killed or missing in action during the Vietnam War. See Opinion


In News Today . . .

The menu at Wednesday's Oxfam Hunger Banquet was nothing if not inconsistent -- some students ate multi-course meals, while others sat on the floor eating brown rice.

In Opinion Today . . .

This may come as a surprise to many, especially to those who are familiar with my ideology, but I voted for the downtown basketball arena.

In Entertainment Today . . .

Maybe it is all in the imagination, but there aren't very many -- if any -- talented female MCs out there today. Eve, Missy, and Rah Digga try and fall short of their male counterparts' natural talents.

In Sports Today . . .

UH women's basketball head coach Joe Curl has announced that Chandi Jones and Nicole Oliver -- two Nike All-Americans -- have each signed a National Letter of Intent with the Lady Cougar basketball program for the 2000-2001 season.
