The Moores School of Music Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Noe Marmolejo (standing at left), performs a concert during the lunch hour Wednesday on the steps of the music building.

In News Today . . .

The Students' Association Senate laid the groundwork for its work next semester Wednesday evening during its last meeting of 1999.

In Opinion Today . . .

It's the end of the semester, and since I am practically brain-dead and therefore out of original ideas, I thought I'd wrap up with the few thoughts swimming around in what's left of my head after cramming for finals. Don't think of this as after-Thanksgiving leftovers, think of it as "second servings," in my own inimitable, snarky sort of way.

In Entertainment Today . . .

After releasing what many believe to be the best solo Wu-Tang Clan album to date, 1995's Only Built 4 Cuban Linx ..., Raekwon spin-kicks his hip-hop audience with the 21- track follow-up Immobilarity.

In Sports Today . . .

Cathy Lida (pronounced Kay-tee Lee-dah) has led the Lady Cougars to a 1-3 record that could just as easily be 3-1.
