AUSTIN -- With the second largest number of alumni serving in the Texas Legislature, UH advocates received a warm welcome Tuesday from representatives and senators as they converged on the Capitol and petitioned for Tier I funding.


A spinal cord injury caused by a car accident years ago took away the use of my legs and left me temporarily unable to speak. My body was so weakened that my only form of communication was, "Blink once for 'yes' and twice for 'no.'"


All of you who follow music awards closely will be pleased to know that one of the most important music award shows of all comes on tonight -- the 43rd Annual Grammy Awards.


After a dramatic loss Feb. 13, the Cougar baseball team will get a chance for revenge today when it takes on the Rice Owls at Reckling Park.
