Sold!: Rayner Noble, coach of the UH baseball team, holds a framed baseball poster, autographed by his players from last season's team, at an auction held by the Cougar Club at Kim Son Restaurant on Wednesday. Alumna Marilyn Winniford bought the poster for $600.


The 37th Student Government Association Senate failed to meet quorum Wednesday evening, so it was unable to conduct any business in the last meeting before the new administration takes office.

Since we've apparently got to have an Army (and the e-mail from my last column seems to indicate that we do), I think it's good that we're going to have a fashionable one.

'The Brothers' gives men their version of 'Waiting to Exhale;' 'Stomp' pounds its way back to Houston; Bacharach's unique style hits Spring.

The No. 1 Rice Owls waltzed into Cougar Field on a four-game winning streak Wednesday night, but stumbled against an equally hot Cougar team as UH baseball welcomed Rice to Cougar Field to pluck the third game of the Silver Glove series.
