Gun bill should be adopted now

A third of high school students can easily think of a classmate who would, if provoked, plan a violent attack on their school, according to an ABC poll. 
 

Death penalty doesn't deter crime

The death penalty is not practical when used as a method of deterrence. In 1983, research comparing homicide rates nationwide questioned whether or not the presence of the death penalty served as a deterrent.
