U.S. Olympic Committee visits UH facilities

Members of the U.S. Olympic Committee toured Robertson Stadium and the UH Athletic/Alumni Center on Tuesday as part of its four-day visit to Houston. The city's civic leaders have launched a full-court press to have Houston chosen as the site of the 2012 Summer Olympic Games.
 

Sales program credits business experience

"A lot of people come to the University not wanting to be salespeople," said Kristi Von Woglom-Parodi, director of UH's Program for Excellence in Selling. But sales can be applied to almost any profession, whether it is selling a product or a concept, she adds.
 

UH program reveals architecture to students

Students lean over models resting on tables in the UH School of Architecture building, preparing for their Friday showing. The only difference is that these are high school students who have come from schools all over Houston to receive intensive architecture training at UH.
