'Kee-yop': Steven Lopez, the 2000 Olympic gold medallist in Tae Kwon Do, spars Tuesday with his brother Jean Lopez in Melcher Gymnasium. The pair are coaching children of 8 years and older in the week-long Elite and Olympic Performance camp, which ends today.
Members of the UH System Board of Regents met Monday in the Melcher Board Room of the Athletic/Alumni Center to discuss the plan and budget for fiscal year 2002.

Summer 2001 is about to come to an end, which is a bit of a shock because I wasn't aware that it had even started. It seems as if it never really came. Somebody had to know about it. I'm sure that somewhere out there, carefree college students are leisurely tanning on the beach, becoming one with nature.

There were two particular previews that made me certain that some great things were coming to cinema this fall, both with promising casts and plots that seemed to guarantee that I would want a second viewing of each.

UH Football is up and running for the 2001 season. The newcomers reported for their first official day as a UH athlete on Monday and the returnees hit the turf this afternoon for head coach Dana Dimel.
