Blowin' in the wind

Police have positively identified 21-year-old Samuel Prophet Davis as the suspect in a sexual assault case that took place on campus the night of Oct. 26.

Well, friends, today is finally the day. In a few hours this will all be over; then a new, more focused complaining can begin. Though I have been deluged by mass e-mails from the governor, Laura Bush and Colin Powell informing me that this is a defining moment for the American character, I still somewhat doubt this is an important moment in our history.

After 18 years of playing together, the Vallejo brothers have finally broken into the music industry. Love them or hate them, these guys are here to stay.


There is no joy in Miami.

Despite beating then-No. 2 Virginia Tech and moving up to No. 2 in both the Associated Press and USA Today/ESPN Coaches' polls, the Hurricanes were ranked No. 3 in the latest Bowl Championship Series ranking. Florida State, a team the Hurricanes beat while the Seminoles were ranked No. 1, was ranked No. 2.
