Bridges to tomorrow

The UH chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineering competed in an annual steel bridge competition on campus Saturday. Eight teams from Texas and Mexico competed for awards given on the basis of weight, aesthetics and cost.


As the dispute over which presidential candidate leads in Florida moved into federal court over the weekend, state police in New Mexico began impounding ballots from Tuesday's election on a request from Republican lawyers.
On Saturday night, I forever changed the lives of two people I had never met before.
The place to be Thursday is Fitzgerald's. The Dandy Warhols, a rock group from Portland, Ore., is guaranteed to put on an amazing show.

In the final game of the exhibition season, the UH men's basketball team fought off a rugged squad of Australian players to pull away with an impressive 91-72 victory.
