The evolution of political epithets

Few politicians would care to have the terms, liberalism and compassion, tacked on to their platform. That would make too much sense. 
 

Hate crime legislation is overkill

The Senate Criminal Justice Committee recently cleared the James Byrd Junior Act, a bill strengthening punishments for crimes "motivated by hate or prejudice," by a 5-1 vote.
