'Muy caliente': Former UH student Ben Mills and senior media performance major Cynthia Lopez rock out Saturday night at Frontier Fiesta. Lopez and Mills are in Revolú, a Latin rock band.

 

Today marks the first day of voting in the Student Government Association elections. Polls are open from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. today and Wednesday.


In an effort to calm the rising tides of anti-Americanism around the world, particularly in Islamic countries, the United States opted to polish up and
show itself to the world in a more appealing way.


Tonight, Helio's offers an opportunity to witness a rare performance by electronic musician Hrvatski. Acclaimed in the emerging "Intelligent Dance
Music" genre, the laptop musician travels from Boston with PowerBook in tow to promote two LPs.


The Houston baseball team jumped to No. 5 in the Baseball America Poll this week after making a clean sweep of Tulane over the weekend and
improving its record to 18-7, 5-1 in Conference USA play.
