Cougars take two of three from Bearcats

After splitting the first two games of the weekend's three-game series against Conference USA foe Cincinnati, No. 7 Houston roared back on
Sunday to defeat the Bearcats, 10-1. 
 

UH blasts blistering Billikens

After a few upsetting results against Conference USA rivals, the UH softball team stumped its opponents with a stellar pitching performance and just enough of an offensive effort to claim two of three from the Saint Louis Billikens.
 

Tennis gets seventh at C-USA

The UH women's tennis team finished in a tie for seventh place at the Conference USA championships over the weekend. Fourteen teams
competed in the tournament.
 

No surprise, Texans take Carr

The Texans said they were going for playmakers in the 2002 NFL College Draft on Saturday. They followed this philosophy early in the first two rounds by taking Florida wide receiver Jabar Gaffney to compliment Fresno State quarterback David Carr, who was taken with the first pick.
