Faster than a speeding bullet: Jason Hildebrand, a senior computer engineering technology major, unscrambles a Rubik's cube. Hildebrand,
the founder and president of the Rubik's Cube Club on campus, averages 45 seconds to unscramble a cube and says anyone can learn the tricks.
The Daily Cougar will end more than week of uncertainty when the Student Publications Committee elects the next editor in chief of the student newspaper during a specially called meeting at 3 p.m. today in the Mediterranean Room of the University Center Underground.

I am not a Palestinian, nor do I have ancestors from over there. However, I often wonder what it would be like to be a Palestinian today. Many of us, ignorant about their lives and histories, question their actions. Perplexed, we find ourselves asking, "What could possibly fuel a person to be
so desperate as to become a suicide bomber?"

At the age of 21, Vanessa Carlton has a little growing up to do. She has a hit single in "A Thousand Miles" that is garnering plenty of airplay, she has a video to go along with that song with the infectious hook and she has a new album on A&M Records.

With the Conference USA championships only three weeks away, the UH track teams hope to lead the Cougar parade to a C-USA victory.
