Is Vanessa Leggett a "media martyr" or a "misguided writer?" That was the topic of debate at a meeting of the Houston Society of Professional Journalists at the Museum of Printing History Wednesday night.


Like the other opinion columnists at The Daily Cougar, I had a different topic in mind for this week's column. I feel very trapped in attempting to write this. We have all seen the same images looped over and over -- a jet sailing into a building, only to be swallowed whole by the infrastructure that would later
collapse.


Although most of the cast members are virtually unknown, they succeed in mixing comedy and drama to perfection. This film is sure to launch a few new
careers.


Late Thursday afternoon, UH President and UH System Chancellor Arthur K. Smith and University of Georgia President Michael Adams mutually agreed not to play the football game scheduled for Saturday in respect to the country's national mourning.
