UH students watch last week's tragedy in the University Center.

In a move that may make UT fans see red, UH President Arthur K. Smith announced Tuesday that the temporary stands erected on the north end of Robertson Stadium won't be used during the Texas-UH football game Saturday because he found them unsafe.

War is a frightening word to many Americans, particularly if it's a war we must fight. I've been moved in recent days at how Americans as a whole have pulled together and accepted the role our nation must play in the crackdown on terrorism.

If Smackdown aired on one of the real networks (ABC, NBC, CBS or Fox), would the World Wrestling Federation have put on a show Thursday just for Houston fans?
Men have gone to the moon and back in less time than it's taking the Cougars to play their second game of the season.
