An ethnically diverse group of students, faculty members and community activists held a "teach-in" Wednesday night at UH to discuss why the terrorist actions of Sept. 11 occurred and how Americans can mend relations both at home and abroad.

Stewart resigns as SGA speaker; Senate hears prof's

The Student Government Association's Senate meeting Wednesday night was overshadowed by the unexpected departure of its well-respected speaker, Craig Stewart. Stewart resigned his position without explanation to his fellow senators just prior to the opening roll call.

Student airs grievances at first SPC meeting of the fall

The Daily Cougar and the Houstonian yearbook both endured a rough summer in the aftermath of Tropical Storm Allison, which suspended production of the paper for a week, but have thus far started the academic semester off strongly, as indicated by their first updates to the Student Publications Committee on Wednesday.
