UH takes high road

The last time the Cougars and the Longhorns met in Austin, Texas quarterback Chris Simms was throwing 50-yard bombs as the play clock
wound down on a 48-0 Texas victory.

Fan saftey was the right decision on Smith's part

No one can argue with UH President Arthur K. Smith's decision not to allow Texas fans into the temporary bleachers erected at the north end of
the field in Robertson Stadium. No one who entered Robert Stadium and saw the bleachers could have thought they were safe.

Astros climb to the top in NL

Life isn't so trivial that baseball is the great panacea for America's recent tragedy. But it is the one great American symbol the sporting world has
to offer. And it was called on Monday to help people "recover."
