UH quarterback Kelly Robertson connected on a three-yard touchdown pass to tight end Grover Thompson in the first half of Saturday's football game, giving the Cougars the lead against the University of Texas Longhorns.
President George W. Bush's speech to Congress on Thursday gave me more respect -- not necessarily for Bush, but for his speechwriters, whose turns of phrase were by turns soothing and
impassioned.
It may seem trivial to care about what's happening in Hollywood and how movie schedules have changed in light of the barbaric acts of Sept. 11.
Fireworks filled the sky after the standing-room-only crowd at Robertson Stadium sang "God Bless America" to honor the victims of the Sept. 11 terrorist attack prior to the kick-off of the Texas-UH football game Saturday night.
