Although there have been reports of an increase in meningoccal meningitis cases on U.S. college campuses, the real major health risk for college students is upper respiratory infections, according to a UH physician.


Life is slowly getting back to normal. Amateur and professional sporting events are being held as planned, albeit with more stringent security. Trading on the stock market has smoothed out considerably, with no more 600-plus point drops anticipated within the foreseeable future. President Bush is still talking tough against the monsters that changed America forever. I've still got midterms.


When Hollywood adapted La Cage aux Folles, or The Birdcage, into the 1990s with help from comedic heavyweights Robin Williams and Nathan Lane, the silver screen shone bright with the fine-feathered film.


Conference USA continues to be the Rodney Dangerfield of Division I football leagues -- the conference just can't seem to get any respect.
