Terrorism defense strengthened in Houston

Houston is as prepared as any city can be to respond to a mass-scale terrorist attack, Mayor Lee P. Brown said in a press conference Wednesday.
 

Confrence to address aspects of public research universities

UH officials have been campaigning for years to gain increased funding from state coffers in order to help the University gain the status of a Tier I  university, the name given to the most research-intensive schools in the nation.

SGA loses second member; tech fees may see increase

The Student Government Association suffered its second high-profile loss in as many meetings with Wednesday's announcement that Director of Public Relations Alysia Minor was resigning her executive position.
 

Anti-Semitic flyers found on cars after 'Anne Frank'

During Friday's opening-night performance of the School of Theater's production of The Diary of Anne Frank, someone placed anti-Semitic flyers claiming the Holocaust victim's diary was faked on patrons' cars outside UH's Lyndall Finley Wortham Theater.
