Debate: The Nigerian Students' Association will be having a "Nigerian Debate" at 7 p.m. in the Bayou City Room, UC. The debate will include questions pertaining to Nigerian
culture and relationships between the United States and Nigeria. All students are encouraged to attend and learn about Nigerian issues. For more information, contact Chigo at

Salsa!: The American Marketing Association and Hispanic Business Student Association will hold Salsa Night at 7:30 p.m. in the Cougar Den, UC. There will be a professional
instructor teaching salsa moves to anyone who wishes to learn. All faculty, staff and students are welcome to attend. Tickets ($7 per person or $12 per couple) are being sold in

Trick or treat: Throw on your costumes and join the UC and the Wellness Center as we celebrate a healthy Halloween at "Spookfest at the UC" from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the
UC Arbor. Enter the costume contest at noon with a group or as an individual for great prizes; enjoy music with 104 KRBE, trick-or-treating for free stuff, pumpkin painting, skull

Day in the Life: Students of all majors are needed to mentor inner-city high school students from 8 to 11 a.m. on Nov. 9 for the Day in the Life program sponsored by Mu Delta,
the African-American Pre-Health Association. High school students will get a brief look into college life and information about admissions and financial aid. For more information,

MVP: The Metropolitan Volunteer Program is helping Summerbridge-Houston in its search for volunteer teachers for its school-year program, consisting of Saturday school
sessions two times per month and tutoring sessions at least four times per month. Anyone interested may pick up an application at the MVP desk in Room 270, UC. Deadline for
