Tinkering with his floor combinations to prepare for the upcoming conference tournament left soccer head coach Bill Walton scratching his head.

Senior Jennifer Wittenburg dinks a shot over the net during the Cougars' loss to TCU on Tuesday night at Hofheinz Pavilion.

Walton's Cougars were methodically destroying the Texas Christian Horned Frogs 30-10 and 30-19 when the wheels fell off the Cougar machine. TCU
rallied to win the next three games 23-30, 27-30 and 15-17 to claim the match.

"I thought we'd made some adjustments that strengthened us," Walton said. "Tonight, in the first two games, we were flourishing with them, and then all
of a sudden we took a step back."

The Cougars dominated the Horned Frogs statistically in every category except points scored. The team had more kills, fewer errors and a better hitting
percentage, and the Cougars almost doubled the Horned Frogs in blocked shots.

"I thought it was a good time to make some of these adjustments because we're playing the bottom teams of in the conference," Walton said. "Now I can't
make a solid evaluation because of what happened. Losing to a last-place team makes my changes look pretty bad, don't they?"
