No TV for UH-Rice game, Dimel takes to the air

Saturday's season opener against Rice University will be broadcast on KBME-AM 790. The pre-game show will
begin one hour before the 7 p.m. kickoff. 

Craig Ackerman, the "Voice of the Cougars," will handle the play-by-play. He'll be teamed with former
All-Southwest Conference center Chuck Brown, who will handle the color analysis.

The UH-Rice game will not be broadcast on television, but all Cougar games can be heard on the Internet by
logging onto the UH Web site at

KILT-FM and the 610 Morning Crew plays host to Cougar head football coach Dana Dimel live at 8:10 a.m. every

Dimel can be heard on KILT at 2:10 p.m. Thursday afternoons with Matt Jackson. To top off his foray into the
Houston airways, Dimel will make guest appearances on the "KTRH Sportsbeat" from 7:30 to 8 p.m. Thursdays
during the season.

For those UH fans who won't be able to see the action, KUHT-TV Channel 8 will broadcast Cougar highlights. The
"Cougar Country Recap" airs at 10:30 p.m. Tuesdays.
